Are you ready for vidya games, alcohol, and tangents? Hopefully you are because Episode 9 is now live! E3 is under way so Brandi and John discuss what they’re the most hyped about from the expo’s early announcements.
He shared the beer with us during an event at the West Sixth Farm celebrating their 1 year anniversary! We even got them to put up one of our awesome stickers! It’s placed right next to the Craft Brew Geek one!
Sadly, we didn’t get one of the slick pint glasses they made for the event.
We were hoping to add a companion glass to our West Sixth 7th anniversary glasses. John snagged a bonus one for Brandi.
Brandi’s latest podcast obsession is Ologies by Alie Ward. If you listen to the Mixology episode, you too can make killer gin and tonics like this one John threw together.
Tons of awesome stuff got announced during the opening days of E3, including Xbox Game Pass for PC! For $5 a month, it seems like a good deal if you like a lot of games from Microsoft Game Studios.
The game Brandi and John are both the most excited about is Cyberpunk 2077. Do you like cyberpunk stuff? Guns? Hacking? Cybernetics? Keanu Reeves? Then this should be a must play game. The new trailer was… breathtaking.
If you think it looks good, it’s also probably worthwhile to check out their 48 minute gameplay demo from August of 2018.
The best video, though, is when Keanu Reeves came on stage right after it was revealed that he’s going to be in the game. People lost their shit in the best way possible.
The dude who told Keanu that he’s breathtaking got a free game out of it just because CD Project Red is awesome. You can support CD Project Red directly by buying the game DRM-free from GOG. Their new GOG Galaxy desktop client is pretty slick, and you can even periodically redeem free copies of games you already own on Steam for free with GOG Connect. Brandi and John might stream Cyberpunk 2077 to their Twitch channel with Squad Streaming. It’s slated to release on April 16, 2020.
Brandi really enjoyed the Ori and the Blind Forest, so she’s stoked about the sequel, Ori and the Will of the Wisps… even if it looks like there’s a decent bit of being chased involved. It’s coming out on February 11, 2020.
Minecraft Dungeons is something both Brandi and John are looking forward to grinding for gear in. They’ll be able to play it in the spring of 2020.
Also coming out in early 2020 is Dragon Ball Project Z if you’re a millenial who wants to get your nostalgia on.
As an RTS scrub, John is looking forward to playing Age of Empires II Definitive Edition. He’s going to lose so many multiplayer matches. He’ll be getting his ass kicked when it releases in the fall of 2019.
He won’t have a ton of time to play it, though, because he’s going to completely abandon the rest of his life for a new MMO addiction when Phantasy Star Online 2 drops in the spring of 2020. The original Phantasy Star Online birthed the insane GameCube controller with a full QWERTY keyboard in the middle.
Long before he plays that, though, Brandi will be getting her loot on in Borderlands 3, which releases on September 13, 2019. If you’re excited about it, too, then you’ll be happy to know there’s a free DLC that acts as a segue for the story between the two games called Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary. If you’ve not played the Borderlands games but want to, be sure to check out the Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep DLC for Borderlands 2, which is Brandi’s absolute favorite.
